Tailoring exchange bias in reentrant spin glass by ferromagnetic cluster size engineering

چکیده

Many properties of materials exhibit a heavy dependency on the domain/grain size due to change in interface density. Here, we show that bulk Ni2Mn1+xGa1?x alloys (0.4 < x 0.7), exchange bias (EB) effect appears reentrant spin glass region and magnitude (HEB) depends ferromagnetic (FM) cluster antiferromagnetic (AFM) matrix. It was found HEB first increases then deceases as FM decreases, which shows non-monotonical relationship with size, is similar grain dependence material such mechanical strength metals dielectric permittivity ferroelectric ceramics. Further phase field simulation results repeat this phenomenon illustrate EB can be attributed density FM/AFM interface, provides regulatable extra through Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction. This work method tune reveals mechanism could guide design exchange-bias materials.

Exchange bias for a ferromagnetic film coupled to a spin glass

For a model system consisting of a ferromagnetic layer exchange coupled to a spin glass, extensive Monte Carlo simulations are performed. For the spin glass the standard short-range Gaussian model is used. Exchange bias is observed as a result of a frozen spin-glass state. The exchange bias fields are calculated for different temperatures, cooling fields, and thicknesses of the spin-glass layer...

Dynamic properties of spin cluster glass and the exchange bias effect in BiFeO3 nanocrystals.

A spin cluster glass behavior and a complicated exchange bias effect are observed in high quality BiFeO(3) nanocrystals grown by a hydrothermal method. The dynamic properties of the spin clusters investigated by measuring the frequency dependences of ac susceptibility show that the relaxation process can be described using a power law with the glass transition temperature T(g) = 57 K, relaxatio...

The ferromagnetic to spin glass transition

2014 From magnetoresistance measurements in PtFe and PdCo alloys we show that disalignment within the ferromagnetic state begins at concentrations well above a critical concentration at which spin glass order sets in. Bethe Lattice Spin Glass: The Effects of a Ferromagnetic Bias and External Fields. I. Bifurcation Analysis

We present a rigorous analysis of the + J Ising spin-glass model on the Bethe lattice with fixed uncorrelated boundary conditions. Phase diagrams are derived as a function of temperature vs. concentration of ferromagnetic bonds and, for a symmetric distribution of bonds, external field vs. temperature. In this part we characterize the bulk ordered phases using bifurcation theory: we prove the e...
